13354745, Do you show up early for meetings ? Posted by FLUIDJ, Wed Nov-06-19 09:17 AM
if yes...
WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM YO!!?!!? I mean..it's cool to be punctual...but don't come bothering & trying to chat with and have a "pre-meeting meeting" with the meeting host because you showed up early...

13354755, Pre-meeting is prime networking time Posted by flipnile, Wed Nov-06-19 10:20 AM
For team meetings, might not be relevant. A fair amount of time I have meetings with suits outside of my department and it's nice to get some unfiltered networking in before everyone puts their meeting energy on.

13354757, When I'm early Posted by Boogiedwn, Wed Nov-06-19 10:24 AM
The only chatting I do is about sports or something light outside of the upcoming topic. I hate the pre-meeting chat up myself.

13354772, Real Talk: The Wire trained me to show up early for all meetings. Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Wed Nov-06-19 12:13 PM
Phone Call or In person. Snoop taught michael to do it to give you a better view if it is a setup or not.
I apply the same principal at work. I get the seat I want. I get to have the pre-convo and see what's on people's mind. Its an ever so slight advantage, but I need every one I can get.
Nobody wants to be that person all late and flustered and not know what's going on.

space as the actual meeting.... It's down the hall, in a totally separate room. The conference room is where meetings are held.

13355032, Why you yellin'? Posted by infin8, Thu Nov-07-19 01:42 PM
I just sit there and look at my phone. I just don't wannahear my manager's mouth, and I try to get the 'good seat' - I don't want the bad-breath co-worker whispering her discrepancies..or the other one who likes to pass me snarky notes...talking to me.
