13354745, Do you show up early for meetings ?
Posted by FLUIDJ, Wed Nov-06-19 09:17 AM
if yes...

WHAT THE FUCK IS YOUR PROBLEM YO!!?!!?
I mean..it's cool to be punctual...but don't come bothering & trying to chat with and have a "pre-meeting meeting" with the meeting host because you showed up early...
13354749, Lol no....usually late if anything

13354755, Pre-meeting is prime networking time

For team meetings, might not be relevant. A fair amount of time I have meetings with suits outside of my department and it's nice to get some unfiltered networking in before everyone puts their meeting energy on.
13354757, When I'm early

The only chatting I do is about sports or something light outside of the upcoming topic. I hate the pre-meeting chat up myself.

13354758, I show up on time which ends up being early

13354759, kind of depends but generally less than 5 minutes early
Posted by mista k5, Wed Nov-06-19 10:36 AM
ill greet people but mostly mind my business until the meeting starts
13354765, yup
Posted by tariqhu, Wed Nov-06-19 10:56 AM
but I generally try to keep quiet. I barely greet anyone unless I know the host.
13354769, Gotta get the good seat
Posted by Nopayne, Wed Nov-06-19 11:58 AM
and get my shit together ahead of time.
13354770, On time and I talk to people because I’m not a weirdo

13354772, Real Talk: The Wire trained me to show up early for all meetings.

Phone Call or In person. Snoop taught michael to do it to give you a better view if it is a setup or not.

I apply the same principal at work. I get the seat I want. I get to have the pre-convo and see what's on people's mind. Its an ever so slight advantage, but I need every one I can get.

Nobody wants to be that person all late and flustered and not know what's going on.

13354937, To clarify, as the meeting organizer & host, my office is not in the same

space as the actual meeting....
It's down the hall, in a totally separate room. The conference room is where meetings are held.

Posted by Cocobrotha2, Thu Nov-07-19 11:41 AM
Some people don't respond to emails and calls so you gotta get int heir face when you have the opportunity.
13355007, first dibs on a seat.... allll up in the back

also walking in late triggers my social anxiety
13355032, Why you yellin'?
Posted by infin8, Thu Nov-07-19 01:42 PM
I just sit there and look at my phone. I just don't wannahear my manager's mouth, and I try to get the 'good seat' - I don't want the bad-breath co-worker whispering her discrepancies..or the other one who likes to pass me snarky notes...talking to me.
