the shit was so sudden and peaked so acutely that repubs were caught off guard. i think part of the reason that repub senators *had* to unanimously vote to release the wb complaint is because they didnt have enough time to devise a strategy/messaging.

dems needs to stop talking about shit like mueller, green new deal, etc for months to years at a time and just spring that shit up when its time to take action (repubs do shit like this and sneak bills across the goal line at like 1 am in the morning).

sometimes the best course of action is to not broadcast that its coming.

dems at the state level are quietly passing voting reforms, green new deal type initiatives and emissions goals, and an electoral college nullification pact with little controversy/resistance and zero fanfare.

repubs are like batman with no prep time. when they cant get their entire media apparatus fully in sync in advance then they struggle to come up with a cohesive gameplan and make a dent in the conversation.
