in austria...a group of people ran a *hoax* with one of them acting like the niece of a russian oligarch. using hidden video...they caught the vice chancellor *offering* govt contracts to the niece in exchange for her buying a stake in a media company and pushing them to support the vice chancellors party.

when the video was released to the public...the vice chancellor resigned the *next day*. and *every*single*minister* from his party resigned in disgrace shortly thereafter.

nothing concrete was exchanged. she didnt even have any real connections to russia.

but just the *intent* to do something improper was enough to force resignations.
