Maybe he simply evolved. I think his *response* to this (I haven't looked to see if he's already responded) is what'll tell you a lot about who he really is. If he goes the deny/deflect route, or anything close to it, fuck him forever.

But if he owns it, apologies, explains in depth how he's improved ... and takes strides to prove it ... well, that's better than the alternative (Scheer).

Of course what he did is deplorable either way. But I'd rather a reformed douche than yet another unapologetic conservative fascist in an important global position.
