13347022, that Caroline Calloway story hits home a bit
Posted by tomjohn29, Wed Sep-11-19 07:59 AM
her family lives near me (Falls Church, VA)
I tutor kids like her
I know for a fact her parents aren't as rich as she would have you believe
the money game with kids worries me
She was trying to live a life of an actual rich kid
and the actual rich kids were jealous
and in this little ecosystem...all of it is bullshit
but enthralling none the least

13347034, Ever notice they never call white women crooks?
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Wed Sep-11-19 09:54 AM
Like name a white woman who was most regarded and treated as a crook or criminal?

Like look at this poster for that Elizabeth Holmes documentary

https://cdn.vox-cdn.com/thumbor/JD1Ms4Xv8tbEpBsZeG7VkWdHQJ4=/1400x0/filters:no_upscale()/cdn.vox-cdn.com/uploads/chorus_asset/file/15959931/holmes.jpg

How is there a question mark by fraud?

Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Sep-11-19 10:58 AM
We have a huge parking lot but she refused to park anywhere besides right out front so she just makes a space where there isn’t one.

I want to leave a note or kick her car.

She isn’t handicapped or obese. Just being an ass.

She parks horizontally in front of my car grill on a tight corner which means her car is out in the street.

and there are so many empty parking spots right around the corner. It’s rude and dangerous.

13347103, North Carolina is a wild place
Posted by MEAT, Wed Sep-11-19 02:34 PM
And so perfectly America/n
Y’all folks from there ... underrated in your resilience.
Alabama and Mississippi and South Carolina survivors get credit that y’all from NC also deserve.
13347105, You talking about the election or just crazy crime news?
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Sep-11-19 02:51 PM
Cause if you are talking about the McCready loss... that’s local politics.

Like most states the urban areas are blue as hell and the rural areas are red.

13347138, People lose elections, but the degree to which NC subverts the people
Posted by MEAT, Wed Sep-11-19 04:24 PM
Is too much for me.
13347110, i never really notice it until i travel
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Sep-11-19 02:59 PM
and by travel i mean something beyond NC, SC, VA. i get out of that bubble and im like "oh shit life is actually great in some places"

even nashville felt like a different world and thats not that far.
13347121, Are you from NC?
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Sep-11-19 03:35 PM
I guess it’s not as wild to me because I’m not from here so when I go other places it’s just other places to me.

Cali seems to be the only place where I’m like “wow” but that’s because I get spoiled when I’m out there. If I had to come out of pocket or wait in lines I would probably have a different perception.
13347133, yeah lived here since i was 2.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Wed Sep-11-19 04:14 PM
didnt really travel much for things besides sports until college though.

sports trips were usually just hotel -> field -> restaurant -> repeat so i didn't get to experience much culture.
13347143, Gotcha. I was forced to travel by my mom

There was a position at Purina earlier this year that I was well qualified for but didn't apply to because I figured I didn't want dogs as coworkers. Then I get here, to this job (not Purina) and there are 9 dogs around. Ugh! The Purina job would have paid more too!
13347177, Probably woulda been zero dogs at Purina too......

Not sure which kid from summer camp gave them to him but I'd love to smack him upside the head.

It doesn't really hurt him but it's not cute at all.

13347243, some 20 year old okp drama confronted me in "real life"
Posted by Damali, Thu Sep-12-19 12:10 PM
well sorta.

not quite real life, just on twitter

i responded to a Blue Check's tweet, and she summarily cursed me out

then DM'd me to say she's someone from here that i did wrong 20 years ago

i don't even remember all the details from back then but i sincerely apologized to her...i had no idea i'd hurt her like that..i didn't make any excuses. i just apologized

she legit threatened to "crush me" if i ever came near her

again, i didn't know that's who she was when i replied to her tweet

it was like, wow...felt like shit all night..then blocked her on everything i could find. definitely don't want to ever cause her any more pain...

13347382, Damn

>she legit threatened to "crush me" if i ever came near her

I guess she wasn't addressing the situation to reach any kind of understanding or peace.
Did she at least tell you what the offense was?

13347731, she did. we don't remember it the same way (i barely do at all)
Posted by Damali, Mon Sep-16-19 01:18 PM
which makes sense cuz when someone hurts you, the way that felt gets stuck in your craw, while the offender has the luxury to not remember as it wasn't a significant moment in their lives...

I don't want to give any more detail though because then I'd be re-offending, so to speak...it would cause her further pain and embarrassment if folks here figured out who i was talking about and/or remembered the posts.

d
13347385, people (from here) are exceptionally petty with grudges
Posted by atruhead, Fri Sep-13-19 09:28 AM
there's at least one person still posting here who I will never acknowledge

but I've moved past 99% of issues I've ever had with people and I'd like to hope others have grown accordingly

yet these secret snarky Facebook groups still exist and third party accounts of people having decade long issues with me still stand

it's bizarre and weird human behavior with most of us right on the edge of 40 if not older
13347402, damn, here's your drama, Damali.

that's crazy that she came at you like that... for whatever that might have been done wrong

but then again ... never mind
13347412, Crush you? Damn.. and you don’t even remember.
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Sep-13-19 11:28 AM
13347413, damn. was it some significant shit?
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Fri Sep-13-19 11:30 AM
or just some petty internet beef shit? i can't imagine really holding on to grudges on over some internet shit if it didn't effect my money or real life.
13347732, it was very significant to her. just not to me, at the time
Posted by Damali, Mon Sep-16-19 01:19 PM
13347414, theres a dude on here who still got beef with me cuz his girl liked me.
Posted by Reeq, Fri Sep-13-19 11:30 AM
and i guess she used to say/do things to make him jealous.

we were never involved outside of a platonic level. always just been friends.

he has no idea i once paid off their rent so they wouldnt get evicted, or that i used to help his girl with money and deal hookups for her son (like flying him from coast to coast) because okp dude was often jobless and couldnt even support himself half the time.

i pretty much kept their 'family' afloat behind the scenes sometimes and kept dude from committing suicide on at least one occasion and never even brought it up to him to throw it in his face.

dude has been through several relationships since (i assume). and i think might even be married now. still holding on to that hate tho.
13347430, Good lord...
Posted by Marbles, Fri Sep-13-19 11:54 AM

Man, I *love* OKP. Stuff like this used to pop off all the time & keep me entertained. This is taking me back to the old days.
13347432, I mean... I would still have beef with you if you did all that
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Sep-13-19 11:59 AM
and I had to hear about it at the dinner table every time money was brought up.

13347435, she never told him.
Posted by Reeq, Fri Sep-13-19 12:09 PM
what he had an issue with was her talking about me early on...when they first got involved...in a way that made him feel insecure.

he didnt know i was helping her out. she always said she got it from a friend, family member, ot at her job, etc.

the whole point was to keep it secret so he wouldnt throw a fit.

truly i was helping out of the kindness of my heart because me and his girl were cool.

either way...shit was like 15 years ago. time to free yourself from that emotional bondage.
