I don't even want my staff to ask me a question about the work on this project. Gonna finish my transition plan today. Then, I'm gonna plot some WFH days between now and next Friday which is my last day here.

Let's call this friend Jack. Jack told me a mutual friend (let's call her Jill,) that they're both close to, may be exhibiting early signs of dementia . A few weeks ago, we had our annual cookout, which Jill always attended. She could not remember how to get here. I thought it was odd, but kept it moving, Jack said he constantly reminds her of recent conversations/decisions that have taken place and also mentioned she can't remember how to get to places she regularly frequents. Whenever he tells her they've already discussed ABC, she gets really agitated and...yeah. When asked if he was sure, he said yes, because he has a parent who has full on dementia and what he sees with Jill, he saw in his mom. Jill lives by herself, no kids and doesn't have the best relationship with her siblings, etc.

Jack asked me not tell my husband about this, but I think I should. But then again, it's not for me to tell. If the three of them run in the same circles, they should have the conversation, right? Whatever I decide to do, somebody will be mad. I just hope Jack tells him.

How early is this dementia?

She's older than us, but she was good for some spades and bid whist.

So I extended invitations to my cousins and a few coworkers to my annual Birthday Saturday in Atlantic City trip this weekend. I want t hit the HQ2 Pool Party at Oceans Casino first. BUt My coworker put be on to some Black Girl Beach Party event in AC that same day. It's at ChikenBone Beaach (True Story).

I'm down to go check it out but it's $30 a head. And to be honest I don't even be dating black girls like that. Half of us are single, Including me the birthday boy. Rest are Married or in relationships. Should I save these negros from themselves and insist we go tot the White Girl Pool Party instead? LOL

I'm half joking but What are your thoughts.
Either way imma have a good time. Plus that's only the day time part of the plan. We rocking all night long.

i went at it for like two months. ate better exercised regularly then boom. im not eating as bad as before but definitely not eating well. i dont remember the last time i exercised. i had lost 10/12 lbs, ive regained it all but 5lbs last i checked. might have wiped it all off. i seem to have stabilized at this weight though.

i need to get back on it, assuming ive net lost 5 lbs i would be happy in 2 months if im down another 10lbs. going to try to work out at least 3 days a week.

pt 2 - the 3 month expert
went to a conference for work at may. there were some student/graduate presentations that were pretty good. flash forward to last week, a vendor wants to run some trials with us. he says he will send their graphics expert for the trial. the name looks familiar. turns out shes one of the ones that did a presentation. i felt some way seeing as shes been working for 3 months at most and he called her an expert. i think the bigger issue is why havent i positioned myself in a better spot after 11 years in the industry. going to look into options. should be an interesting trial. curious to see how she approaches it. definitely not looking to give her a hard time though.

pt 3 - work has been so weird
i dont know if its simply that the replacement in hr is accidentally not including me in the email list. we had a meeting a few weeks back that i only knew about because i saw print outs posted. we usually get meeting requests. i thought it was weird they didnt send the invite. now im thinking maybe i was accidentally left off. at this meeting they said we should be getting pay increases in a couple of weeks, they were finalizing the numbers. cool. last week i heard two coworkers saying we werent getting them. i just saw a memo posted saying we will be getting increases that will be retroactive. uhm why didnt i get that email?? it was dated for monday. so maybe she doesnt have me on the list. maybe im not getting one? last year the boss met with everyone individually so it being a memo is weird. i guess ill ask the boss next time i talk to him.

I have so much to confession I don’t know where to begin.
