She ain't here again today and won't be tomorrow. Prolly out looking for her own landing spot.

*** Long weekend full of birthday celebrations for my wife has me drained this morning. It was a STAYCATION w/o getting a hotel. Last Thursday, she and I spent the afternoon in a cabana at the Four Seasons. We ate and drank good! Then on Friday evening, we had dinner and cake with her girlfriends. Way too many shots! On Saturday, I had another group of 18 meet us out for crabs down near the water around Annapolis. Shots! Shots! Shots! And capped off the weekend yesterday in DC at Sequoia's for more drinks and food. Needless to say, I'm exhausted and she's been smiling despite being equally exhausted.

*** Prepping to take my little one to school this week. About to start her third year at Howard already. That time is flying!

December 31st. My team is phasing out on 12/13. And I’m not sitting around until then with the hopes that we land a new contract elsewhere.

mice n rats.. folks might not be quick to just squash one cause they don't want to deal with the blood and guts.. but we'll poison them. break their necks with spring loaded traps, stick them and starve them on glue strips, electrocute, encourage our pets to kill them etc... I mean we got it in for these things under pretty much any circumstance.

We were talking about thanksgiving, and he mentioned that he's looking forward to his sister's special recipe of carrots in orange jello.

you've curated a list with images there but I'm very reluctant to click cause frankly yeah yuck don't put stuff in jello round me... in fact jello itself, while not the worst on it's own, it is never a go to.

I use to mess with a little cottage cheese and pineapple.. and I suppose maybe some jello with some fruit cocktail but I could never understand the appeal of the whole jello mold meal item.

And I guess if you couldn't go to like dairy queen or something similiar and get a nice vanilla cone, I can kinda understand eating it?

But in general it's so gross to me, that texture sliming down your throat, the undertone lack of flavor, the way that shit breaks apart in your mouth like a video game character disintegrating into nothingness. Ugh!

but we don't talk regularly.... but we were at my grandmas memorial and it became clear that pretty much everybody in my family is pretty reserved in person and likes to be left alone to read.

We just went to her parents house at the coast and let the kids chill with their cousins.

Took them to the candy store. Some Willy Wonka type store with candy in big ass baskets. It was so awesome seeing them runaround and scoop up tons of candy to throw in the bag. I put 85% of it back but literally seeing my kids in a candy store was awesome.

Took the wife to an oyster bar and said money don’t matter tonight.

Capped it off with a trip to the beach. They loved it.

I feel bad seeing my nieces beg for my attention because their father ain’t shit. My kids
don’t like when their cousins try to snuggle.

So now we are back and it’s the last week before daycare starts back up. We are looking into preK. Applying and putting in our income is mad humbling. All that money and we don’t get to keep any of it once daycare starts. It looks like we are caked up on paper.

... sounds like the trip was pretty kick ass tho.

my phone crapped out last night.

had trouble with android auto on my way home. thought the cable gave out. charged my phone when i got home without issue. plugged it in when i went to bed, woke up an hr late. check my phone its turned off and wont turn on. no lights nothing.

been trying some things to get it to power on, different ways to charge it, cables, etc. no luck. that was sudden.

ive been looking at deals and not too impressed. verizon is offering me $300 off any s10. att has a bogo +$300 reward card. i dont see why not do that.

im gonna take off early to go to the stores and see whats up.

all this information revolution stuff is accelerating the entropy.
