Guards don't sit and stare at people 24 hours a day. There's no AI watching video feeds and setting off alarms.

Suicide watch is like being under the most invasive attentive watch and they check on you like once an hour.

And they take you off it if you are doing better because 1)It's a pain in their ass to watch inmates closely and 2)It's inhumane to the inmate for it to happen over any extended period of time.

Dude tried to hurt himself, they watched him more than normal for a while - then he seemed okay and they watched him less - then he killed himself.

Maybe people will understand how jails work after this - it's literally just locking people up and nothing else.

There's no conspiracy - you'll find that until the guards out number the inmates that all jail are places where inmates can hurt themselves or be victims of other inmates or guards.

It's legalized hell. And prison is worse.

Maybe you expected him to be restrained and in a medical induced coma with 12 people standing around him and watching every move forever???

Its not how jails or prisons work. They'd be A LOT more expensive if they had to staff up to give 100% vigilance to all inmates. (And trustees would be assed out.)
