or mulch them, or out into the road for the street sweeper to collect them.

The fuck?
13342423, Ever had to rake a large yard?
Posted by spenzalii, Thu Aug-08-19 10:37 AM
These are far from stupid. Noisy, a hassle sometimes, but not stupid

Well my job has an electric one. Which is always broke. Made me notice there are a lot of products that electronic versions of products that don't need electric versions. Like wine openers and can openers.

13342451, leaf blower is a life saver
Posted by RobOne4, Thu Aug-08-19 11:56 AM
its windy when the sun sets out here. Which is prime yard working time. So after mowing and edging shit is blown every where. So I sweep it all in a pile and wind still blowing strays all over the side walk and drive way and neighbors walk way. I pick up the piles as best i can. Then blow the run aways back into the yard. Nice and easy. Saves me about 30 minutes of work.
13342452, yeah use a rake or FOH

i don't even hard a yard it should be pointed out tho lol
13342456, Those Novelty Burn Design Toasters
Posted by Dj Joey Joe, Thu Aug-08-19 12:12 PM
I've always felt like those were some of the corniest inventions, I'm not much of a toast person anyways but people wanting a burnt design or picture on their bread seems like a waste.

I can understand it's basically similar to people who make designs with foam with cups of coffee, cappuccino, espresso, cocoa cocoa, etc. but that's people who do them, not machines; but it's cute.

13342458, I never see people using them the way its indicated here
Posted by Cenario, Thu Aug-08-19 12:14 PM
I see landscapers blowing em everywhere thats not on the current property.
13342467, you generally wanna use a leaf blower like a broom.
Posted by Reeq, Thu Aug-08-19 12:34 PM
blow the leaves together then bag em, crush/mulch em (for your lawn/garden), shovel em, etc.

your best bet tho is to just mow them into your lawn. really healthy for you grass/soil.
13342472, the electric ones are dumber
Posted by hardware, Thu Aug-08-19 01:02 PM
13342483, False. My Ego blower is amazing.
Posted by sectachrome86, Thu Aug-08-19 02:15 PM
13342709, Mine also vacuums the leaves after blowing into a pile.
Posted by soulfunk, Sun Aug-11-19 07:12 AM
I use the blower function to get the leaves all into a pile, and then hit reverse to suck them up and it mulches them into a bag.

Even just used as a blower, it’s WAY more efficient than using a rake. Especially if you have a big yard and have areas where leaves tend to get stuck.
13342723, you are an exception to what is seen daily
Posted by viagramakesmeimpotent, Sun Aug-11-19 01:51 PM
debris blown right into the street.

neighborhood.
13342800, Running the lawnmower is more efficient and better for your yard.....
Posted by FLUIDJ, Mon Aug-12-19 12:25 PM
actually...
the whole practice of raking leaves is kinda dumb.
You're essentially robbing your yard of free nutrients and ground protections that's needed during the winter months.

"Get ready....for your blessing....."
"Bury me by my Grand-Grand and when you can come follow me"
13342911, I leave a decent amount of leaves on the ground to get mulched by
Posted by soulfunk, Tue Aug-13-19 08:26 AM
the lawnmower. But the leaf blower is really useful in the spots where leaves really tend to accumulate at my house. For example, right next to the house behind some of the landscaping I get piles of leaves which get caught there from the wind blowing them. I wouldn't be mowing an area like that at all. If I just left them there the sprinkler system could get clogged up. A couple minutes with the leaf blower fixes that.
13342794, pine needles don't rake for sheet tho.
Posted by PG, Mon Aug-12-19 12:18 PM
13342928, i just mow the leaves.. never got the reason for raking
