We just did the memorial to lynching and yeesh

But aside from that. Being in close proximity to white folks (and there were way too many for comfort) was just uggggh.
I just need to vent.

If they really felt bad they would offer up a body or 2.

At one point there was a family of like seven that seemed to be almost walking with us putt putt style. Like we’d get to the next sign and a minute or so later they’d be standing there with us. Staring at the statues of the enslaved in chains, reading the texts about black deaths.
I stopped and let them play through.
Later a group of three white girls did the same
I walked back to where I had previously been and started over.

To white people of OKP:
Reading about lynching and white terrorism makes me angry in ways you can’t comprehend. I damn sure don’t want to share a space with white people while doing so.
