the beauty of QLS is the inside baseball, the nerd stuff, and the deep dives into music history, and these two eps lacked that. Having said that, I haven't exactly been on this site as regularly as I was between '99 and '09, so I appreciated the messy nostalgia.

as an okp i was a bit frustrated at mero trying to force his own story about asap just to be included but i get it lol

it was entertaining, my main complaint was the inconsistent volume. i couldnt hear some things.

of course there were definitely some troubling things said as you guys have mentioned.

particularly because the viewing age is older and should know a little better.

however, despite genpop being way younger and dumber, there were way more women and queer people around back then to push back on these things; in fact, I would have to credit this site with pushing me in the right direction. it was a lot of folks here that IRL I probably wouldn't have interacted with otherwise. by that I felt like there was more activity, and the activity was less stale. OKP has real comp now with better "filtering" which has ... an alternate effect

what you gain in protective measures, you lose in hearing some different POVs

and now because of the tumbleweeds, you kind of have a sort of groupthink that pushes some of those voices prone to pushing back way in the back. except you of course but it used to be a number

to be fair thats how much of the convo was. someone brought something up, someone went on a tangent then someone else would interrupt and some stories didnt get finished or they would come back to them.

its unfortunate that this one was brought up and just left like that.

I am not sure what they are doing with this show now. At one time I thought it was about music for the most part. And I know they have had the one off (or 2) guest that really were not about music.

As far as the Okayplayer stuff... I was here for that time and while a lot of it was fun... some of the stuff that happened was not cool....
