Dude seemed to have truly made a positive change in his life and was doing really good things in his community. He didn't take the lil deals record companies were trying to give him in the beginning of his rap career and just grinded it out on his own terms until he came up his own way. When he was interviewed by Tariq Nasheed, he did say he wanted to make a documentary about Dr. Sebi, so I was pretty surprised in his level of interest in nutritional health overall.
Just a really messed up situation.
