i think im just trying to find a way to combat the whole "city vs rural areas" complaint GOP and the sheep push.

the one argument i can kind of see for elec college is that it honors that each state is independent but i dont really know how that is important in 2019. are we the UNITED states or not?

i think at minimum elec votes should be divided up in states based on popular vote in each state. if the GOP candidate got 55% of votes in a state he gets 55% of the elec votes for that state. i know theres some states that do this. i know that still would be unfair though and is only a slight improvement over what we have.

2016 proved that the electoral college is pointless. it seems the whole purpose of it was to prevent someone like trump taking office and yet here we are.
