13314961, Tucker usually interviews idiots he disagrees with or ppl he agrees with
Posted by PimpTrickGangstaClik, Thu Feb-21-19 10:43 AM
Very rarely does he get challenged by people who are prepared. Whenever that happens he goes into his defense mechanisms. Insults, playing dumb, pedantic questions, laughing, and finally cutting the interview short.

13314963, Yes he's impossibly stupid.
Posted by Brew, Thu Feb-21-19 10:47 AM
Most Republicans are but he is on a higher level than most.
13315024, They book ‘em for 20 minutes and 5 minutes in: we are out of time!!!
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Feb-21-19 12:18 PM
.
13315021, Roasted his punk ass.
Posted by Hitokiri, Thu Feb-21-19 12:13 PM
Loved it.
13315028, I loved what he did. But he could have discussed the issues while
Posted by T Reynolds, Thu Feb-21-19 12:25 PM
ALLUDING to Fox protecting billionaires' interests, if only to ensure the discussoin made it to air.

Mad-making and trolling are great but you had a huge opportunity to air a unique and informed opinion to a viewership that needs it more than more liberal ones, on a network that habitually shies away from it.

13315081, wrong. more people saw it because it DIDN'T air
Posted by Damali, Thu Feb-21-19 01:15 PM
there's no way i would have seen that shit otherwise...i NEVER watch FauxNews

d
13315131, my point is he's not saying anything you don't know. he's saying what
Posted by T Reynolds, Thu Feb-21-19 02:37 PM
Fox viewers don't know. They needed to see this more than you.

13315140, Yeah. This ain’t for us.
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Feb-21-19 02:49 PM
13315032, lol, that dude is such a whiny-ass coward
Posted by Dr Claw, Thu Feb-21-19 12:28 PM
couldn't even respond to it
13315035, Lol i love how calm dude stayed
Posted by Mynoriti, Thu Feb-21-19 12:31 PM
13315088, That dude's Dutch, you're not going to make him shouty and mad
Posted by Marauder21, Thu Feb-21-19 01:19 PM
Unless you bring up their weird blackface Santa helper they do around Christmas.

LOL @ inviting someone who told everyone at Davos that they're the problem with the world and getting mad when he points out your right-wing network that's part of one of the largest media empires on Earth is also bad. Did he think he was going to go "Fox News is cool, though" when he talked about billionaires?
13315104, Which highlights the biggest Globalist Conspiracy Theorizing Hypocrisy. .
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Thu Feb-21-19 01:38 PM
Folks on the right rail against Globalist George Soros but literally get all their news from the media outlet owned by a foreign born billionaire.

We should be talking about Rupert Murdoch a whole lot more.

"what's a leader if he isn't reluctant"
13315143, Because Murdoch's not a "globalist" the way they understand the term
Posted by Marauder21, Thu Feb-21-19 02:57 PM
Or should I say (((globalist)))
13315141, theres a segment of the left increasingly aligning with tucker carlson.
Posted by Reeq, Thu Feb-21-19 02:53 PM
glenn greenwald and his followers are an obvious example.

but then you have shit like this:

and this:
https://twitter.com/cenkuygur/status/1098595256772280320?s=20

if you wanna know what the horseshoe theory looks like.
13315152, Unbelievable.
Posted by Brew, Thu Feb-21-19 03:10 PM
People falling for the fucking okey doke so easily. Carlson, as always, was not bringing that dude on in good faith. It was yet another attempt to try and paint the rich liberals as hypocrites. And when the dude turned the tables on him he snapped because he's stupid and couldn't see it coming.

Good on the Dutch dude.
13315161, reminds me a bit of lefties big-upping Coulter last week
Posted by Mynoriti, Thu Feb-21-19 03:43 PM
for calling Trump a moron for his national emergency.

not to say everyone retweeting her didn't know the larger picture here, but i'd say a good number of the "i cant believe I agree with ann coulter" people were unaware that her beef with Trump on this is that she finds his hatred of mexicans lacking.

13315165, Yeah, just highlight other people making the same argument
Posted by Marauder21, Thu Feb-21-19 03:50 PM
Tons of people who aren't Ann Coulter call Trump a moron every day. There are lots of people who can credibly speak out against Forever War and the military industrial complex who don't host white supremacist TV shows on Fox News, RT one of them and tell Tucker to STFU.
13315170, I understand it in the sense of feeling it strengthens your viewpoint
Posted by Mynoriti, Thu Feb-21-19 04:16 PM
if even your "enemies" can't disagree, so liberals will always be quick point out if even Fox is shitting on Trump for something, or Conservatives will say "even CNN says.."

but cases like Coulter's comments, or Tucker here, as Brew already pointed out his goal was clear, but people are latching onto one detail or comment an running with it like wow Tucker is getting some things right. I mean imagine getting duped by Tucker Carlson.

13315288, ro khanna should know better. being a member of congress and all.
Posted by Reeq, Fri Feb-22-19 11:15 AM
but 'progressives' like nomiki konst regularly go on the fox news primetime block and treat them like a friendly outlet. nina turners top aide tezlyn figaro used to go on fox news and praise trump and bash immigrants *while* she was working at 'our revolution' and dead in the middle of the daca fight. even through all of this...nina turner was trying to promote her to chief of staff.

i honestly dont get it.
13315166, LOL well said.
Posted by Brew, Thu Feb-21-19 03:58 PM

>lacking.

So true. It's like ahhh no sorry guys, she's not suddenly having an attack of conscience and empathizing with asylum seekers. She's going after 45* for not racisming aggressively enough.
13315162, Some people on the left* really want conservatives to be friends
Posted by Marauder21, Thu Feb-21-19 03:45 PM
Like if they just highlight this one person's good point, they'll start dealing with you in good faith. And it NEVER works, because the conservative movement is designed to crush opposition, not reason with it.

* I'm using left to mean anywhere left of center, because you obviously see it with more moderate politicians like Biden or Klobuchar, but there is a strain of it farther left, too.
13315168, Yep - 100%. And the left just keeps falling for it. Over and over.
Posted by Brew, Thu Feb-21-19 04:00 PM
It's shocking how slow they've been to recognize it.

13315154, Are these people on the left paid by Billionaires?
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Feb-21-19 03:18 PM
13315279, the young turks is.
Posted by Reeq, Fri Feb-22-19 10:59 AM
i dont think thats the cause of it tho.

like in 2017 there was a legit effort from far lefties and alt righters to merge and fight corporate media.

a lot of white liberals/progressives dont view racism as an existential threat. just a difference of opinion. so you get shit like 'hey...tucker carlson (the most white supremacist friendly host on cable news) isnt really that bad. he actually has some pretty good views on things'

https://twitter.com/EmmaVigeland/status/1098598074979635202
(btw thats another young turks host like cenk)
13315160, to see this amplified throughout the world 24/7 elect bernie
Posted by rawsouthpaw, Thu Feb-21-19 03:41 PM
the streets worldwide will be bolstered and actual policy and elected officials that reflect these views will show up while the elites will be rightly shook as they feel increasing heat.
13315275, Two sides to the Boomer nonsense coin.
Posted by Willong, Fri Feb-22-19 10:43 AM
This “historian” actually believes the rich paid those top marginal rates? In the ‘50s? Tax avoidance was much easier and rampant in the ‘50s. Just another guy who wants to go back to their “glory days”, along with Trump, Sanders, populist right wingers and progressive lefties.
13315281, I don’t think anyone believes these folks pay the rate on paper
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Feb-22-19 11:00 AM
but I would rather see these folks have to start hiding at 70% than at 23% or whatever it is right now.
