13302356, Into The Spider-Verse is the best Spider-Man movie ever

I didn't stutter.

Easily one of the best animated films of the last five years.
13302357, I won’t argue. Certainly tied with SM2 and Homecoming

Masterfully executed and hits every goal it attempted

Something in there for young and old fans to like

13302382, I was laughing at shit the kid next to me had no clue about.

13302358, Good to hear...what age is this acceptable for?

Wanted to take my 5 year old but some of the guides look like it may be too much for him.

Zero curse words, no gross jokes, no sexual innuendo, no moral ambiguity. It does have fighting violence, deaths, and death threats though.
13302363, Pretty easily, really

It's a celebration of Spider-Man with revolutionary visuals. It's gotta be the most comic book-y comic book film adaptation.

Spider-Man 2 has a mute Spider-Man, neutered Doc Ock, same villain taking MJ hostage 3rd act final fight as the 1st film and just way too much crying
13302364, Wasn't prepared for the animation to be that good

That's how you do an animated comic book film for the big screen.

Any old heads here notice a Bill Sienkiewicz influence in the kingpin design?
13302387, This movie made me feel old as shit

I took my boys because of all the early praise and the movie has a lot going for it.

However, I thought it was doing way too much to get the praise it's getting.

Yes super original, very funny, visually cool but it seemed made for Kidd who grew up on vines, memes and emojis.

I can see how someone would love it, but it's not for me.

13302388, i think you're supposed to be sympathizing with the dad and uncle

once you get a certain age and stage, your perspective changes

i was in that thang holding back dad tears.
13302412, To me, it felt like reading an older comic book

But that was all due to the animation.
13302392, I'm going this week
Posted by Paps_Smear, Sun Dec-16-18 09:28 PM
I'm kinda salty because the theaters in my area have really shitty showtimes (10:25pm only Imax 3D?!) and after Wednesday its not even listed in the two theaters closest to me which are major theaters. That means they're pulling it before it was even out for a week. Crazy!

Anyway me and the kid will find time to make it out before its totally gone from everywhere.
13302410, Also, there IS an end-credits sequence

I fucked up and missed it, was eventually able to hunt it down online. Definitely worth sticking around for, though.
13302411, Missed it too
