light's been going on and off for about 6 weeks, couple days at a time.

Garage guys tell me it's a very unimportant thing even if it goes, but it won't pass inspection if the check engine light is on. Not up for inspection for a few months so my inclination is to wait it out and see how it is then. They figure a $750 or more job.

Just trying to keep the car running long enough so that my kid can drive it (another 3 years)...
