Carbon Belt Drive
Pros:
• No Rust (no lubrication needed) • Less slippage, fine-tuning throughout the season
Cons:
• More Expensive (Frame fitting, parts, labor, etc.) • Internal Hub (requires Mechanic/Tools or replacement)
*The claim for less maintenance is only because you'll likely replace the hub (instead of performing repairs). Considering that, you're looking @ a a couple hundred in parts & labor each time.
This is also why I prefer single speed/fixed gear cycling. I was born with all the gears I need for cycling without an additional motor (lol).
