kanye's just an extreme example of a trap we all fall into at times.
that doesn't excuse any of this bullshit, but there's no duality or unresolvable conflict in kanye's story at all. what's scary is that being self-aware to the point where you can narrate it seems to make it easy to capitalize on your issues, and maybe avoid them, but not so easy to overcome them.
he was straight up with all of this 15 years ago.
some genius is going to do a tony soprano/saul goodman style biopic on kanye in a generation and blow us away though.
