still the most haunting april first of my lifetime. went to church with my grandmother and we had just came back from "Ron's Chicken and we got a bucket and all happy on a warm spring day and then the news of Marvin Gaye and i thought it was a April fools day joke?
i remember that day.

when i found out it was filicide and the circumstances
the scope of how messed up Gaye was and the veneer of motown in general was forever broken for me
