I don't disagree with your assessment but I also disagree and the thing is I can't figure out why exactly.

perhaps its because I can't watch the show with real eyes while everything is so deeply based on fantasy that bringing in any concepts of race make everything else fall apart. The act of watching GoT is not like watching How I Met Your Mother for example.
