That aspect of this probably would have played out a little differently 10 or 15 years ago, but people have been primed to think that accusations of sexual misconduct should be believed on their face.

It makes sense that Franken and Conyers have gone down, but not Trump, because it's Democratic and left-leaning types who ride for that idea the most. Trump's voters don't really buy into #alwaysbelievetehvictim, so he's "safe".
