Yo
13201517, I'm glad us soccer lost
Posted by MEAT, Wed Oct-11-17 08:37 AM
Last thing this country needed was more jingoism. Particularly from white folks at bars at eight in the morning.
13201543, only reason i'm glad we lost is because we suck and would have
Posted by KiloMcG, Wed Oct-11-17 09:20 AM
gotten embarrassed af on an international/worldwide stage.

it's ridiculous.
13201546, I haven't paid much attention but it sounds like they need more soul
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 09:24 AM
13201559, we're running a geriatric squad right now.
Posted by KiloMcG, Wed Oct-11-17 09:49 AM
it's like the nursing home all-star team and one young kid (who is really fucking good).
13201555, Anything can happen in 90 minutes.
Posted by MEAT, Wed Oct-11-17 09:39 AM
Plus we were really gonna send a team to Russia? Everything about this is crazy.
13201537, purposeful....
Posted by Trinity444, Wed Oct-11-17 09:16 AM
by the grace of God, everyone I love is still with me and for that I am humbled...thankful. The other night I thought about a convo I had with a friend back home (I need to check on her). She taked about being lonely and the imprint in her mattress from sleeping alone. I think I’m starting to get one too and I’ll be damn if I don’t think of our conversation every time I lay down. However, I’m not feeling lonely yet and I wonder if it’s because I have everyone....

I’m obessed with Rapsody. no homo. She’s just a really, really a dope MC. lol. I sent her DM apologizing for just now discovering her. lol. I don’t know if she got it but, sending it made me happy

I’m still figuring out...

peace Geah
13201544, i have one this week. i'll be back later.

13201545, man, anyone with young kids or kids in general
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 09:23 AM
that weekend without the kids is a thing of beauty.

Shit was hard letting them go tho.. wife cried. I can't front, I packed them up quick fast cause I didn't want to tear up. Now my wife is on board with a weekend every 3 or 4 months so we can recharge.

13201560, how late you sleep in?
Posted by KiloMcG, Wed Oct-11-17 09:50 AM
13201580, Slept in til 11AM on Sat then chilled in the bed til 3ish
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 10:35 AM
Sunday we were up at 10am but that’s so we could hit up the all you can eat breakfast brunch buffet. We did that shit right.

Wife has to pump so she still has to get up but we damn sure tried it.

I called off work on Monday and slept til about 9ish, but laid back down til around 11AM.

Shoulda slept more but we are so used to being up so it was hard to go back to sleep.
13201581, good gracious, my back woulda been hurtin....
Posted by KiloMcG, Wed Oct-11-17 10:42 AM
can't lie, i'm a little jealous. i don't remember the last time i/we slept in like that. the wife can't do it at all anymore, she's up no later than 7am no matter what. sometimes she lets me stay in the bed, but not often.
13201589, I had an argument with my wife about sleep
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 10:49 AM
She’s always on the go. Always cleaning or doing some shot.

So the other night she was knocked out in the living room and I woke her up to come to bed and she starts cleaning shit and I lost it. I get angry when people do shit nonstop, lose out on sleep and then complain about being exhausted and burned out. Just go to bed. That’s hit will be there in the morning and there is ALWAYS something to do. It’s just the way she operates.
13201603, I. HATE. ..... YOU, SOMUCHRIGHTNOW

Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 10:51 AM
I’m good on that partying shit. Tried to do it a few years back at SXSW and my body was like nah homie.. chill.

13201591, oh, I'm with you...I just meant that time without them
Posted by Dstl1, Wed Oct-11-17 10:52 AM
is fun as shit. My wife and I go out to eat like 3 meals a day the whole weekend, lol. Lay around with barely any clothes on. Get our drink on...that's our idea of partying. Last time my sons were gone, we went and saw a wack movie, ate, had some drinks and were in the bed watching Family Guy on Hulu by 10:30...but, FUCK if that aint wonderful.
13201602, yeah, we went to play pool at 1AM!!!
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 11:11 AM

ARE YOU INSANE????

13201599, I'm tired of these nxggas.
Posted by infin8, Wed Oct-11-17 11:04 AM
I've been 'homeless' since June (in quotes because I'd been staying with my brother, and the wife/kids were staying with a close friend).

My schedule was:

go to work
go to my bro's crib
clean up
get the fuck out his house
meet up with the family
go crib hunting
go to the beach/park for a couple hours
go get something to eat (I don't wanna eat here, I don't like "---")
everyone go back to their corner

for 6 months.

Factor in the following:

car accident
discord at the crib THEWY were in
Hawaiian Gardens, CA is not a black-friendly city (whole lotta gang shit)
dealing with insurance company
tryna support 2 households while stacking

we just moved into a new crib. this is the second night in OUR HOME

and I want them ALL to GET.THE.FUCK.AWAY.FROM.ME

I don't even feel bad.
13201604, damn.. congrats?
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 11:11 AM
13201683, thank you.
Posted by infin8, Wed Oct-11-17 01:34 PM

Nothin they could do about it. I was just venting, LOL.
13201623, lol. I ain’t mad at you...

13201553, If I get this job today, it will be my first "real" job in 1 yr
Posted by Castro, Wed Oct-11-17 09:35 AM
And the pay is crazy. Send me positive vibes.

I walked out on a gig a year and half ago because I was waking up in the middle of the night with my heart racing, couldn't sleep, and I was chained to my desk.

Since then, I've done a major art exhibit, traveled to Africa for the first time, and worked on my first novel. Wifey has held down the fort as I've worked odd jobs.

But time's up. And the universe put this in my lap.

I'm not keen on diving back into Babylon, but I know I have been blessed to have this time to create, and now I need to put energy towards building some wealth. Hopefully, I can do so without the health issues from the previous gig.
13201554, congrats fam

13201558, wishing the best for you, my dude

13201563, hope it works out...I like my job that i have now..but i be dreaming about
Posted by Cenario, Wed Oct-11-17 09:55 AM
it. Doing calculations and trying to figure out the impossible.

Not hating a job you go to every day is amazing.
Going to one you actually like/love??? words cannot express.
13201564, difference between marriage sex and single sex
Posted by tomjohn29, Wed Oct-11-17 09:57 AM
marriage sex is like playing baseball 3/10 and you going to the Hall

single sex is like field goal kicking...you can be consistent the whole time...but if you miss at the end the game its remembered

13201584, Guys trip this weekend...watch out.
Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Wed Oct-11-17 10:45 AM
Not really though. In the past I use to be on some "I NEED THIS". Not feeling like this time around. In the past it use to be about wilding out but I really look forward to chilling and catching up with the homeys.

I mean, how much trouble can we get into in Denver?

13201586, Legal weed? A shit load of trouble.

I remember when I had the chance to go to this HS and chose not to specifically because of their name and mascot.
Minimal progress is still progress.
13201608, dramatic little snots
Posted by legsdiamond, Wed Oct-11-17 11:13 AM
who the fuck cries over a HS name change?
13201618, Old white men would always remind me that Lee used to be good
Posted by MEAT, Wed Oct-11-17 11:35 AM
It was on some the south will rise again shit. All of them white folks moved to Alamo Heights or Churchill school district though and Lee let in the Hispanics and kept their non wealthy whites.

That's pretty much who's still there. Those peoples kids.
13201612, smh...WTF??

13201627, Same old shit... crying to try and get what they want

If this was back in the day, this is when the mob of outraged good ol' boys and old men would be ready to come to the rescue.
13201764, Wait.. They changed it to L.E.E.

13201690, I cant fucking deal right now.
Posted by double negative, Wed Oct-11-17 01:47 PM
just got back to work after taking some leave

they moved offices

so the layout is this...

IF you make money for the firm you get a private office with a window.

IF you don't make money for the firm but you are a director or higher you get a private office with a window.

IF you don't do any of that then you get a private office office with no windows.

IF they don't give a shit about you they give you a cubicle in a farm with no windows or even the HINT that the sun exists son.

In my time here I went from a small ass cubicle to a big one. I stated my case that as a creative I need space like walls to tape shit up, and I'm not short so I need to be able to get comfortable. They honored the request. Kinda. I got the space but no walls.

I made my case again and that time I got a walls and space in the form of a windowless office.

Well, good shit, that was a win.

But then I got moved.

And moved again.

So when I was out I got the message that the whole dept was moving.

I got in yesterday and I had to keep my head up. The new space is a big ass cubicle farm. NO windows. Fluorescent light for miles. Loud as fuck. My whole department is mad as fuck and people are starting to think about options.

I ask, Can a brotha get a window up in this piece?

Crazy they have us jammed up in here because, well, these are people who make great fucking cash but we're treated like step children.

Fuck it, UPS is hiring right?
13201787, Damn yo........ What up, Milton!?
Posted by KiloMcG, Wed Oct-11-17 09:18 PM
Gonna find yourself in the basement next hanging on to that swingline stapler for dear life. All good, though, cause you'll burn the whole place down if it comes down to it.
13201835, the desk move when you are out is some hoe shit
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Oct-12-17 07:38 AM
13201854, Man... my desk is THE WORST part of my job, hands down.
Posted by flipnile, Thu Oct-12-17 09:08 AM
No chance of getting a private office with or without windows, or even a shared office, unless I become a manager *shudders*

Last desk was one of those big shared cubes with four desks at the corners. People not only walked past our cube to get to the conference room, but THROUGH our jawn fam. I'm talking random people from other floors.

We moved to a new floor and now I sit even closer to the conference room and still by the walkway. At least I have my own cube now. Office is loud-as-fuck tho. Any given time I hear 2-3 conversations at once. Someone walks behind me past my cube on average once every few minutes. I'm a programmer.

Seating arrangement is an absolute DEALBREAKER next job I look at. No open offices, shared spaces, sitting near marketing/PR (where I am now) or sales. Actually, I need at least a private office or the ability to work from home.
13201862, this shit right here has me rethinking life choices.
Posted by double negative, Thu Oct-12-17 09:52 AM
and I totally feel you on the struggle.

I'm about to start looking into big tech where I'm hoping they understand the needs of the work force a lot better

seems like non tech companies that have a development team treat the dev team as a total after thought
13201887, damn...i'm mosty concerned about who is behind me but nothing else.
Posted by Cenario, Thu Oct-12-17 10:53 AM
lol i'll trade a great workstation for pay anyday.

13201866, Adulthood is an endless stream of new problems
Posted by MEAT, Thu Oct-12-17 10:05 AM
A neighbor just placed a bag of four licenses plates, some wipes, and small tools on my door step. Rang the bell and walked off. What am I supposed to do with that?
What does that mean?
Whatever it means I have to deal with it before work and already had a list of things I had scheduled to take care of today.
I guess deal with random bags of license plates is now top billing.
13201878, what is there to deal with? if they aren't yours throw them away
Posted by legsdiamond, Thu Oct-12-17 10:43 AM
13201881, It's a bag of license plates
Posted by MEAT, Thu Oct-12-17 10:48 AM
I ended up going outside, dude said he found it by my car and then was in a hurry so he put it up.
But if it was between my car and my neighbors then here's where things now get even weirder. I haven't seen my neighbor for about a month.
I would've noticed a bag last night when I came in
But in that month nobody has come by asking about her either or looking for her. Her blinds have occasionally opened and closed, but I don't remember the last time I saw light on in that house.
And now I'm more worried, because why was there a bag of license plates by her car.
13201884, i call it "s-always somethin"
Posted by Selah, Thu Oct-12-17 10:49 AM
this is broke and needs to be fix (or a repairman called)

this kid is sick, or has an event you gotta go to, or you gotta do something for something they need

i actually remember breaks in paying bills, not anymore though something is always due

not to mention how it seems like everyday is somebody's birthday (sometimes i wish my kids had no friends but each other)

...and that ain't even getting into family *outside the house* (parent, siblings, nephews/nieces)

wouldn't trade any of it though, whats the other option - be dead?

13202187, My front door won’t open
Posted by legsdiamond, Fri Oct-13-17 08:39 AM
Something is wrong with the latch so I have to get that fixed this weekend

Wife said it happened when her friend came over to drop something off. I told her that was the house trying to warn us not to let her inside.
