Those train stops and some of the monuments like the old theater hit me right in the heart. Although, when I was taking that route it was in the 90s.

like fucking Beirut, take the Chambers St.(on the J/M line) stop or Hoyt for instance. Yeah, I know you mentioned the trains specifically but I digress...theres still lil remnants of that old, funky, filthy, BEAUTIFUL, UNSYNTHETIC NYC laying around.
