Give me the cramp. I'll just cry but at least I'll be awake and can move.

As long as I know that I am going to come out of it then I am going to get over not feeling a thing. The cramp to too much to deal with for 40 minutes. Damn. LOL
13179384, Sleep Paralysis is too much. I hate being immobilized

I'm good with pain.

I'd be freaking out 17 seconds into being paralyzed. And if I somehow understood it was temporary, I'd still be WAY more miserable than if my leg hurt a lot.
13179415, I'm taking the cramp
Posted by tariqhu, Mon Jul-31-17 05:00 PM
as long as it's in my thigh. had you said hammy, I'd have to pass. ham cramps are tears and death.

never had the sleep thing, but paralysis can't be fun.
13179421, I'ld take the cramp
Posted by be_yourself, Mon Jul-31-17 05:09 PM
Two hours of sleep paralysis is way too long to be immobilized. The cramp, though painful, would be over quicker. I'd try and find ways to distract myself from the pain.

13179444, I'd take the cramp....

Sleep Paralysis feels like a long time even if its just 15 minutes because your mind is somewhat in dream-time (from my perspective). I'd hate to have two hours of that sunken place feeling.

I can wake up from it sometimes but it takes a lot of energy....and it's terrifying sometimes.

If I had the cramp, at least I could lay down in a spot so it doesn't hurt as bad.

13179487, Yeah - "sunken place feeling" is the perfect description.

13179449, As a person who gets sleep paralysis more than most folks
Posted by Hitokiri, Mon Jul-31-17 09:52 PM
I'm definitely taking the cramp. I get SP often enough that I can get myself out of it. But two hours would just be misery.
13179464, I've had em a LOT recently, esp the past 2-3 months
Posted by Firecracker, Tue Aug-01-17 02:27 AM

It seems to escalate a day or two after I've been out drinking

Just last night I feel asleep for like a nanosecond and heard a loud bark from my livingroom (I don't own a dog), and woke up

I know enough about SP now that being immobilized doesn't freak me out anymore, but the dreaming part / having some shit happen in your bedroom, weird noises, all that - is still super exhausting lmao
13179467, This^^^^ 2 minutes feels like an eternity.
Posted by legsdiamond, Tue Aug-01-17 04:59 AM
2 hours would feel like a coma
13179481, yup

Posted by Case_One, Tue Aug-01-17 08:09 AM
I can deal with it and I recognize what';s happening, but I can't do it for 2 hrs. Man that's like torture.

13179870, Exactly, who the hell chooses sleep paralysis?!?!
Posted by Paps_Smear, Wed Aug-02-17 09:43 AM
Probably people who haven't been through it.

Give me the cramp any day, at least I'm not laying there completely paralyzed. I can get over the pain, I can't get over being like that for 2 hours straight. 2 minutes feels like 2 hours to me.
13180013, Right. 2 min w/ SP is like 20 w/ SP

13179516, As someone that's had both give me the cramps
Posted by Kira, Tue Aug-01-17 09:12 AM
I had sleep paralysis issues for six hours a day for four years and most recently have hours of thigh cramps.

Give me the cramps because those are easy to solve with some potassium. Sleep paralysis leaves you fucked until it ends.
13179519, ^^ This is the winner

13179668, you had 6 straight hours of sleep paralysis?
Posted by ternary_star, Tue Aug-01-17 02:58 PM
13179704, Yes, and it was very brutal
Posted by Kira, Tue Aug-01-17 05:21 PM
Then again I was a pup so my six hours could've been three but it felt like six at the time.

13179518, *POST JACK*: Worst place to catch a cramp?
Posted by auragin_boi, Tue Aug-01-17 09:20 AM
I'm going with ribs. They are both shocking and terribly painful. And they immobilize you because you literally can't move around without pain.

Feet and hammy cramps are tolerable and you can possibly work your way out of them a little if you've had some experience with them. Rib cramps...nothing you can do. Stuck.
13179521, a rib cramp? never had that and not trying to find out lol.
Posted by BrooklynWHAT, Tue Aug-01-17 09:28 AM
13179526, toe cramps just make you look like a big chump
Posted by Cenario, Tue Aug-01-17 09:45 AM
you week at the knees, buckling over just bc your big toe acting stupid lolo worst is when you catch a foot cramp with some boots on. Take you like 5 mins to get them joints off.
13179529, How is the heck do you catch a cramp in a rib? We Don't believe you.
