13174101, How did Bran go from climbing to being unable to walk?

One minute he's climbing, and the next minute he's bedridden and can't walk.

This is pretty much the same thing IMO.

He went from skeptic to believe because he was given a vision in fire. This is explicit.

This, of course, is after he'd seen Beric brought back to life.

Actually, I don't even recall him being a skeptic, just that he didn't worship the fire god. He still held to the 7, at least enough to try to pray for the dead family.

From what I recall, the issue seemed more along the lines of "that's YOUR god, NOT mine" than "I don't believe in that god" combined with the fact that he has an actual- and understandable- fear of fire.

Sandor may not have been on a quest with a specific mission, but he's absolutely been on a journey since he left King's Landing, and this is a part of it. He's a man who fears fire who winds up consorting with a group who worships a fire god, and joined them after his own group were massacred by their rogues.

There's a lot more setup and context to that moment than you're giving credit for IMO.
