You have a family and have something to lose if you get in a fight. The tatted guy's mind isn't likely to change even if you beat him up.
Racism is a white problem that affects people of color and white people who are racist are too scared to look in the mirror and be responsable for their shit.
That's another post.
But I am troubled by your friends not at least telling you that this guy's behavior is not cool. I'm sure they were scared themselves but they should have had your back more.
