i keep going back to gavin newsom. he's basically kinfolk to gordon getty, who had long been grooming him for president before gavin fucked it up by violating the man code with a staffer's wife while mayor of SF.
but he's been publicly calculated in all but erasing it ever since.
acts presidential in every appearance.
kamala as VP would basically be a power-couple ticket.
