is it worth the premium
13088669, Most definitely

I never knew anything about Tom Ford fragrances until I visited the TF store in Vegas. They had like 10 scents from the private collection. I had just won some money from the slots and treated myself.

I've had this bottle for about 6 years now. I don't wear it everything. Its an Eau De Parfum, so I can spray once and it stays with me.
The thing I like about Tobacco Vanille is that the scent changes after hours of wearing it. At first it smells like a cigar, then it has hints of cocoa and finally the vanilla scent.

The shit smells like money. When I wear it I always get compliments.

I bought the beard oil also. Honestly, when I use the beard oil there's no need to use the cologne

hello beautiful
13088591, I don't wear any fragrance.
Posted by tariqhu, Mon Oct-31-16 12:45 PM
not my thing.

however it does annoy me when I can smell it on a dude. I aint gonna be that close to you, so that means you got too much on.
13088646, it should ALWAYS be understated

most people don't know how to properly wear scents
13088644, a few
Posted by final_prospect82, Mon Oct-31-16 01:39 PM
I have over 50

On the cheaper end:
BVLGARI - Bvlgari Aqua
Gianni Versace - Versace Man

Mid Tier:
Creed - Green Irish Tweed
Tom Ford - Noir Extreme

Upper Tier:
Creed - Creed Aventus
Davidoff - Good Life
13088650, whats the big diff between a high end scent and everything else?
Posted by double negative, Mon Oct-31-16 01:42 PM
better projection/sillage?
13088733, I went moreso based on price in my reply
Posted by final_prospect82, Mon Oct-31-16 02:44 PM
but ignoring price, concentration matters perfumes > colognes

essential oils: top notes vs mid vs low

scarcity: the more expensive, the less likely you are to smell the same thing on the man standing next to you

From a pure smell stand point, I target a unique, or at least a interesting variation on a particular scent, subtle scent that lingers for hours. a scent that can only be smelled when entering my personal space

Once I got put onto the splits scene (splitting larger bottles with others, at a discounted price, basically...check out reddit.com/r/fragsplits) I've now been able to indulge some of the higher end stuff I wouldn't otherwise be able to.

recent additions to the rotation:

Creed Aventus batch 16A01
Fahrenheit Absolute (insanely great discontinued fragrance)
Tom Ford Vert de Bois
Tom Ford Ombre Leather 16
Paco Rabanne Pour Homme 2nd Edition (1990s version)

Old standbys I've worn for years:

Chanel Platinum Egoiste
Tom Ford Oud Wood
Issey Miyake Bleue
Zihr Ikon (super cheap but quality fragrance, a good cold weather scent)

13088681, i might have to look into that
Posted by GROOVEPHI, Mon Oct-31-16 02:01 PM
13088741, i hate all of you
Posted by Ashy Achilles, Mon Oct-31-16 02:52 PM

13088762, sounds like a bunch of cheap smeels

What's in the bottle on the right, in this photo?

I already have the Creed, but I haven't found out what the other one is.

In other news, I copped a few cheap samples from beautyspin.com, and the 15-fragrance sampler from Sephora. I've been wearing Prada Infusion, Burberry Touch, and Polo Red/Blue/Black for the past few years.
13088804, Something from Clive Christian
