...technically they never close them, that is. They just decide whether or not to prosecute.
All they're doing here is investigating whether these new emails are relevant to the earlier investigation. As they should.
But they looked at tens of thousands of emails in the original investigation, and none of them provided grounds for a prosecution. It's ridiculous that anyone would assume this handful of new ones will be any different.
