DG has been working in television for almost 10 years on two of the most critically acclaimed tv comedies ever (30 Rock and Community).
Then he gets Paul Simms to executive produced who is responsible for great comedies like News Radio, Larry Sanders Show and Dave Letterman.
Meanwhile Issa Rae got one web series under her belt and Larry Wilmore, who seems like a great guy, but he has never been a laugh out loud type of dude.
Of course Issa Rae got HBO but I think that just puts extreme pressure on her to be HBO level of greatness.
