>But there's a dynamic that I just ignore. I am not 'trying >to be down'. Nor do I need validation from you.
I don't think I've ever accused you of "trying to be down." That's half the quote. I said I respect that you "wanna be down for the cause." That is to say you are willing to speak out against injustice against Black people. If I'm wrong about, that, then let me know. As for you needing my validation, that's none of my concern.
>My contribution to that Seals post speaks for itself. I am >interested in what you have to say alot of the time...I >basically just ignore when you resort to ad hominem replies or >silencing opinions or relying on characterization. I'm >interested in why you disagree with me about the issues that >Seal's death has conjured....but you haven't articulated that. > And like anyone else who uses these debate fallacies....you >use it selectively. Being white discludes opinions when you >don't agree with them. Being white does NOT disclude opinions >when you agree with them.
Beginning at the end of that quote, that only says that I don't really care about what a white person brings to the table in a discussion around issues pertaining to Black empowerment, and I stand by that... firmly. With that said, I like a good discussion, so I'll usually entertain all contributions. I found your contributions to the Darren Seals post naive and wrong. Naive because we have government documents saying specifically to target Black Power organizations, they infiltrated the March on Washington, and countless other exposed conspiracies pertaining specifically to Black empowerment in this country. When these cases are studied, a pattern emerges. Now, for a Black person NOT to look for the conspiracy or infiltration when Black people become influential toward actual empowerment, I think is just flat out dumb and dismissive of the timeline of our existence in America. For a white person not to see it... well that's just normal, because white people aren't targeted like we are. I could have attributed your naivety to stupidity or non-blackness. I was nice enough to go with non-blackness. (As for why I found them wrong, you were confusing collusion with concert. You can work in concert with white supremacy without necessarily colluding with white supremacists. Also, no one in the post accused them of being sent in to introduce homosexuality to slow down black birth rates. It just sounding like all your disagreements with any kind of black nationalism were running together.)
>When the point you are making can be made even when your >contention is clearly wrong than I will check out. IE Suppose >person x contends that Prince was shot by a rifleman working >for the CIA. And then person y says 'No...there's an autopsy >report'. Then person x rebuts: 'You are white and that's why >you trust the autopsy report'. So what worth does that >argument really have if it can be used for a position that is >clearly wrong?
Eric Garner's autopsy report said he died of a heart attack when we clearly see him getting choked to death. Sandra Bland's autopsy report magically says she hung herself. Now you add this in with what I said above about government documents that literally say things like separate American blacks from African blacks, prevent a black messiah, Muammar Ghaddafi's death, Malcolm X's death, MLK's death, my uncles Bruce's death when I KNOW he was thrown from a bridge onto a railroad track by KKK members, the CDC covering up the Tuskegee Experiments, etc. Like I said, believing paperwork for us is just stupid. I question. I can't be stopped.
>There are non-white people in this post pondering why white >people commit suicide. I think it would be very unproductive >if I were to dismiss any opinion that comes from a non-white >person.
The big difference here, is that everyone is pretty much forced to deal with white people in very significant ways (jobs, loans school, court, etc), considering the population percentages and the fact that we both live in white-centric countries, so that's quite a bit different. Despite that though, I only care about white homicide, so I'm not one of those people who's coming up with reasons. Second, I'm not one to tell you how to address people when it comes to issues plaguing the white community. You have the right to tell them it's for the white community to figure out if you want to... or you can listen. That's on you.
