Like those shows tho its dark and gonna be a hard sell to middle america. Less about the blackness, more about how shows like this stay niche because it's not escapist; its humor is dark and real...critics may love Louie but audiences don't according to its ratings, lol.

Hopefully white critics take notice and push this for awards to help keep it afloat.
