if he had taken his keys and bounced without touching everything BUT then remember, he got the ticket at the fire hydrant AND the last three people to see her alive was the man with the hearse at the gas station (which was on tape) and the two guys (and one became a witness). Plus the neighbor seeing him run out of her house and get in the cab...they could have easily put one and two together...and him running would still look terrible.

so really to me, the only thing he could have done to look good was to call the police but again, who'd believe him?

and this is why i say the story is set up because so many things happened that were too convenient and no matter what, he would be on the hook for this.
