that's the thing: assuming he's not the killer then it's only shitty that he'd just try to get away in the sense that you're not helping find the person who killed this girl you liked, albeit who you just met.

BUT, even with all the fuckups, had he just not gotten pulled over he probably "gets away with it" (i say that meaning whether he did or DID NOT do it) because it seems like he's kept his nose clean his whole life so w/out being in the system he'd never be discovered even with the forensic evidence he left behind. can't match DNA, fingerprints, etc. when you're not in the system.
