He planned that EXACT sentence before the event took place. He wants to be accused of being racist.

When he re-tweeted the white supremacist stuff it was the same thing. He purposely retweets the white power guy.....waits for the reveal....gets accused of racism....then says 'it was just a re-tweet and I didn't know who this guy was'.

So what's happening after the final move? Trump is seen by the majority to be unfairly accused of racism and the event becomes an issue of political correctness and 'gotcha tactics'. He's the victim.

Gregory Cheadle, the black man singled out by presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at a Redding, Calif. rally Friday, said he took no offense when the billionaire urged the crowd to "Look at my African-American over here."

"I was not offended by it because he had been speaking positively about black people prior to that statement, Cheadle told NPR when reached at his home for comment over the weekend. "People around me were laughing that he noticed me and everybody was happy. It was a jovial thing."

Trump's use of the possessive "my" touched off a fresh wave of criticism of the candidate with some saying it came across as racist or at the very least tone deaf.

The remarks came as the real estate mogul interrupted his own meandering remarks to recall an incident from a March rally in Arizona, where a black Trump supporter assaulted a protester being escorted out of the venue by police.

In an attempt to show he, as Trump put it enjoys "tremendous African-American support," the candidate said the black man from the Arizona rally was a "great fan" of his. The businessman added that his supporter "cold-cocked" the protester who Trump said was wearing a Ku Klux Klan outfit. The black supporter, who was also escorted from the venue by police, was, according to Trump, initially portrayed by some as being anti-Trump. Presumably just because he was African-American.

In between the telling of that anecdote, Trump pointed in Cheadle's direction to add, "Look at him. Aren't you the greatest?"

Cheadle, a Republican candidate who is running for California's 1st Congressional district, called the moment "surreal." Cheadle was holding a sign that said "Veterans for Trump" and said he was using it to shield the sun from his head.

"Trump talked about the racism, the stereotypical racism targeted against black men by bringing that incident out. He said the people near where the incident took place were about to jump on the black man because they thought he was a protester, when in reality he was a supporter."

Cheadle said he took Trump's comments toward him in a positive way. But also noted that Trump's choice of words left many uncertain as to what his meaning behind them were.

"Had he said, 'here's my African American friend' or 'my African American supporter' or something like that, then there would be less ambiguity," Cheadle said.

"Had he said, 'here's my African-American' and then after that said, 'what's up dawg or boy or even the n-word' as they use it today, I really would have been offended."

Cheadle says his interaction with Trump has raised his profile heading into the California primary on Tuesday. But one thing Cheadle wants to be clear is that Trump does not yet have his vote.

"I am not a Trump supporter," Cheadle said. "I went to go hear Donald Trump because I have an open mind."

Cheadle says he also went to a rally for Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders last week in Chico, Calif. but did not go in.

"I am a free man. I am not chained to any particular party and I refuse to be chained to any particular party."

Trump is begging for democrats to go after him for his choice of words here which was completely deliberate. He's done this over and over again. He will say something that COULD be construed as being racist....then waits for someone to accuse him of being racist....then defends himself by appealing to the anti-politically correct crowd.

Let's face it....A good 75% of the population (not okp mindsets) would say that criticizing him for using this choice of words is just semantical nit-picking. Those are the people he's after. He desperately wants to be ACCUSED of being racist.

I'm not sure what the end game is but it damn sure worked thus far.

His racist antics are also keeping african-americans and latinos "woke" and politically tuned in so they will be more than ready to cast their anti-trump votes this November. The ones he needs to stay home to have any chance of doing well are keyed up and ready to have their say.

I just checked US racial demographics and was surprised to see that blacks and hispanics only make up 12 and 16% respectively. I thought hispanics were upwards of 30%? I wonder if it's a matter of US citizenship (and the right to vote) that accounts for the disparity between what I thought and what the numbers are. I could have sworn that I checked these numbers before and that Hispanics/Blacks combined for somewhere around 45% of the population. Maybe that's true but isn't reflective of actual voting power.

I don't know. If blacks and hispanics only make up 28% of the electorate.....why couldn't someone win without them? I mean....he's winning in some of the polls right?

In the big cities in swing states, minorities provided the winning margins for Obama-Biden in 2012. The effective voting power of the African American and Latino vote cant be overstated. They remain strategically located to do the same thing this year for the Dems. Thats why all these voting ID laws and other antics by the Repubs to suppress the minority vote popped up since 2008. They recognized the powerful voting leverage we have and how it impedes their candidates on a national level.

We vote Dem historically and while we came out in record numbers its still all about that white vote.

This is why 2016 worries me. There is no Obama to get black folk excited. only thing we can rely on is Trump going super racist and forcing Blacks to run to the polls out of fear.
