This is my recent list since both emcees still release music.

It's so many bars across so many albums that stand the test of time. Black Thought's work is timeless. For me legends greatness are measured by the legacy that stands today. I can hear Black Thought in Wale especially on his first album. E-40 is a legend but I can't find any emcees outside of his region that emulate him to this day. I could be wrong but I don't see it.
