what an interesting little book
its about a writer who's writing a memoir about a specific time period of j.m coetzee (who in the book is recently deceased and whom this writer never met - its fiction) and so he interviews 5 people who knew 'j.m coetzee' in the 70's and their impressions/opinions of him (which arent very high- either as a writer or his character/personality, even though two of them were his lovers)
i mean the book is ok, but i dont know what to make of this like im not sure if this is how coetzee sees himself, or if this is a fictionalized person he made up, or if this is how the thinks his friends perceive him as or... now i feel i need to read his memoirs, or at least find out if the real coetzee is like *this* coetzee
