can read in any level of light, e-ink so there's never any glare nor is it hard on the eyes. basically as close to reading paper as possible.
I got the one with "special offers" which basically means instead of a screensaver it's an ad for a recommended book. you can pay an extra $20 and get one without the special offers, or you can buy the one without and pay to have them removed if they bother you, but I don't see why it ever would.
