13015880, Popular vote totals: Trump and Hillary lead by over 3 million each Posted by handle, Wed May-04-16 11:35 AM
I think it's useful to keep these numbers in mind. 50 million votes have been cast so far for the Republicans and the Democrats.

13015887, Important, but yet also incomplete stats. Posted by GOMEZ, Wed May-04-16 11:40 AM
It doesn't factor in states with caucuses, since caucuses are weird and stupid. It also doesn't account for closed vs. open primaries. So while it's definitely indicative of a certain level of party support, it's not the be all end all of national sentiment.
It's a good look for the candidates in front, though, no doubt.

If I had to wager a bet(which I don't do) I'd put odds on Trump at this moment. It's pretty grim.

Trump had to fight off 16 other candidates cumulatively pouring BILLIONS of dollars against him (Jeb Bush) Whereas HRC only had to fend off a very (at the time) unknown Bernie.
Be wary of Trump!
