for all the regs

April was just a horrible ass month LOL
a lot of death
projects being suspended due to government stuff
another project's budget being absolutely massacred (i almost cried on the call)

it was just bad.even dj gigs got cancelled due to pulled funding :(

but i woke up today and back at work and that's what it's all about
regardless of the mess
and i'm at another gig immediately after work today. had a really good set on Monday. people who weren't even there are hitting me up about to say they had friends in the house telling them how dope it was :)

feeling beaten but not broken
i'm breathing. i'm (relatively) healthy. i have nothing but good people around me in my personal life and at work and that's what it is.

tomorrow i'm going to see my parents, then book club, then this APT tribute party (!)

sunday i'll meet with a couple whose wedding i'm spinning later this year

and perhaps i'll have the courage to tell someone how i really feel. we'll see.

which means, I've been here 6 months
still getting used to being around kids

I telecommute, I work at 5 AM, my job involves talking to people. today a neighbor asked that I lower my voice. plus I deal with assholes to earn a living and it isnt remotely Friday as my work week started yesterday. the end of the month/beginning of next month workload is always stupid though

But Im going to Vegas next week for my birthday and going to brunch to celebrate early this weekend

I work super hard creatively even if everyone cant tell yet
