That is exactly where I'm at. There are arguments (like the economist one posted above) that say new innovative jobs will replace the old ones. I just don't see it. You can't replace the current 15 million jobs based on the trucking industry with 15 million 'automated truck designing' jobs.

There's gonna be a huge gap between jobs lost and jobs created. On the bright side...the tides are turning. Even some conservatives are recognizing that a basic universal income is a likely necessity for the future (without actually calling it socialism). Bernie lost....but the rise of socialism is probably coming regardless. There really won't be a choice most likely. You simply can't have that many people destitute. The 1 percent will eventually NEED socialism to protect their property.
