I think it's supposed to be a sort of amalgamation of the black woman's experience of relationships and family... so it takes hers, her Mom, maybe her sisters/friends experiences and flattens them into one massive piece of work.

Whatever it is, isn't or whatever is true or not... it's one hell of a pop record.
