13004394, THE ART OF ORGANIZED NOIZE: Have Ya'll Discussed? Posted by vee-lover, Wed Apr-13-16 06:21 PM
Checked it out (2x) on Netflix
Seeing this documentary made me rethink where Organized Noise belongs in the pantheon of HipHop production teams
I needed to be reminded of their work outside of HipHop ("Waterfalls" <--- "Southernplayalistic was great....Soulfood was great....but ain't none of that shit did what 'Waterfalls' did, I'm still gettin a check off that song" ~ Rico Wade)
It was sad to see drugs play a part in their setback...but they seem to be getting back on track
I kinda agreed w/Rico Wade that it was kinda selfish for Kast to not let them do anything on Speakerboxx/Love Below, Outkast's biggest record
But overall I enjoyed it and never gets old seeing the genesis of the Dungeon Family carving out a lane/sound for Atlanta/Souh
