He'd be enemy number one as word of his activities off the court reached social media.
Basketball fans would go out of their way to tear him down in the context of history framing it as "honest discourse".
He wouldn't been allowed to play baseball as a DA somewhere launched an investigation into his gambling...
IF he survives that he comes back to a team torn apart by media and vilified to an extreme by fans for their off the court shenangians.
Imagine how things play out if he winds up getting a divorce during his prime because his wife is embarrassed of all the cheating allegations going public.
That pristine image is torn to sheds quick as shit and sports personalities rip apart his legacy during his prime.
