g-grandfather's wife was black too. In which case her grandmother/grandfather (I don't know which side of her tree it is) would be just black. In which case her mother is HALF black, which makes her 25%.

This is all interesting because all this time she has apparently known full well that she's got this relatively recent black ancestry, but she never mentioned it. This isn't like Bliss Broyard, who had no idea until she was grown that her father was a NOLA Creole.

She definitely presents as 100% white. But her mother sounded proud as hell of the black g-grandfather, which implies to me that Ronda was getting a healthy dose of blackness at home.
