What signifies that ultra comfort that just leaves things wide open?

The dynamic changed after the first time I let one slip out like "Welp...guess there's nothing left to hide or be uncomfortable about." It was awkward but relieving. The fart almost had a question mark at the end, waiting for her reaction.

My wife of 16 years, mother of my child, and I are WAAAY past any hang ups. I think kids are the clincher. Once you've been peed on, hurled on, and changed the grossest of diapers everything else is fair game.
Recently my wife had outpatient surgery to remove a small cyst from her back. It was my job to unpack and repack the marble sized hole in her back with gauze until it began to heal up.

if one of us notices the other smiling for too long, and with no clear reason, we pluck the others front teeth.
it's invasive as fuck - and reminds you to stay on-gaurd, but the shit is hysterical.
it makes you want to laugh more, but laughing exposes the teeth.
and so it continues.
we promised to not do it to each other while in mixed company.
