12975284, Bachelors, does your mom chill at your place when you aren't there? Posted by DavidHasselhoff, Wed Feb-17-16 01:38 PM
Example, she comes buy for 2-3 hours a few times a week while you're at work, or during her lunch break. Would you have a problem with it? Is that invading your space? Hell, does your mom even have a key to your crib?

12975299, Not at all, my cousin gave his mom keys so she doesn't have Posted by DavidHasselhoff, Wed Feb-17-16 01:49 PM
to drive 10 miles more to go home for lunch or when she's needs to get out of the office for a few hours. He said never really wanted to do it in the first place, but he didn't want to say no. Now he's really regretting it because thats cutting in to space. He said he comes home for lunch every other day and she's laid back in his recliner watching Soap Operas. lol

12975306, Oh I see Posted by sectachrome86, Wed Feb-17-16 01:54 PM
That's nice of him to do, but hell no. Maybe once in a while if she asks first, but not just free reign.
|
12975309, it's his home. Posted by SoWhat, Wed Feb-17-16 01:55 PM
he can and should take the keys back b/c the agreement isn't working out for him. or for no reason at all. it's HIS home.

12975357, see i could see my moms doing that, but the understanding would be Posted by Cenario, Wed Feb-17-16 02:44 PM
that she just has to give me a heads up before she comes.
I know my mom so she'd probably only use it once in a blue. If you know ya moms is the type to do what cousins mother is doing, shoulda never gave her the keys in the first place

12975392, all of this: Posted by SoWhat, Wed Feb-17-16 03:17 PM
>If >you know ya moms is the type to do what cousins mother is >doing, shoulda never gave her the keys in the first place
my mom would not ever violate my space like that so i would trust her w/a key to my apartment if she lived here in town. but she'd have it only in case *i* need it.

12975298, She has a key, she comes maybe 1-2 times a month at most Posted by -DJ R-Tistic-, Wed Feb-17-16 01:49 PM
Sometimes less than that, usually to drop things off or pick things up, since I'm ALWAYS taking their stuff (folding chairs, Tupperware, etc etc).
She never ever comes just to chill, though. I pop up at my parents' house all the time though

12975335, yeah, I'd definitely grab my stuff... Posted by Trinity444, Wed Feb-17-16 02:14 PM

12975313, My Mom can stop by my crib anytime. But free access is kinda weird Posted by Marbles, Wed Feb-17-16 02:01 PM
One time, I was at work and we had a bad freezing rain storm. Mom was on my side of town and I told her not to drive back to her place. She stopped by my office & got the key to my apartment and stayed there for a few hours.
I would never want her to drive in conditions like that when she didn't have to. But I spent most of the time worrying about what she might find and whether she would be going through my stuff.
I think she got the vibe that i was nervous about it. She told me that she didn't mess with anything just watched TV and had something to eat.

12975321, Hell... Fuck... NAWL!!! Posted by PoppaGeorge, Wed Feb-17-16 02:06 PM
When I was single, only one person had a spare key to my apartment: My oldest sister. Even then the only time she ever used it was to let herself in AFTER she called me to let me know she was stopping by.

12975322, when i was single she had a key but would only come by if i asked her Posted by Cenario, Wed Feb-17-16 02:07 PM
to.
She wouldn't drop by unnanounced, and would def not come in if i wasn't home.
|
12975328, My Mother not only has never visited, she definitely doesn't have a key, Posted by Cam, Wed Feb-17-16 02:12 PM
But she'll cuss me out for not visiting her, or answering her numerous mid-day calls (to every one of my phone lines), almost everyday of the week...to chat about nothing.

12975348, I haven't lived near my mama in 20 years. I wish I could Posted by Buddy_Gilapagos, Wed Feb-17-16 02:33 PM
come home and unexpectedly see my mama chilling on the couch watching tv.

12975362, i dont even have a good relationship w/ my mother, id have no problems Posted by seasoned vet, Wed Feb-17-16 02:47 PM
with doing this i dont see the issue
|
12975571, I actually wish she could sometimes. Lol Posted by Seven, Wed Feb-17-16 09:27 PM
She's like a 2 hour plane ride away. If she lived closer I'm sure she'd drop in and straighten things up a bit or leave some food she knows I'd like. Lol

12975594, I have a great relationship with moms. Posted by The Wordsmith, Wed Feb-17-16 10:54 PM
I'd have no problem letting her get a key for my apartment if I were single. Knowing her, she wouldn't stop by too often anyway, despite me not complaining about her coming.

12975607, i wish she was close enough where she could because when she does... Posted by ThaTruth, Thu Feb-18-16 12:35 AM

12976443, No Posted by BabyYoda, Fri Feb-19-16 04:39 PM
I live about a mile from my mom. She doesn't come by as often as I like, but the same can be said by her. However, I did invite her over for dinner on Valentine's Day for dinner and she loved the food!! My mom has keys to the house, but she respects my space. I love my mom dukes!! :-)
|
12976458, Chill? No, but maybe come by for a minute. Posted by ConcreteCharlie, Fri Feb-19-16 05:06 PM
We are neighbors so it's not really a big deal. She will come by to pick up or drop stuff off when I am not there. Otherwise she won't come without a call. My mom knows me, it's not like her finding a roach or some broad's panties would be a big revelation.

12976628, hell nah. but my parents do have a key to my place Posted by Playa_Politician, Sat Feb-20-16 02:26 PM
