This list was made by a 28 year old from the 'Burbs who just started listening to R&B two years ago...I mean...It's not HORRIBLE. But Whitney Houston (great pop vocalist with soul) should not be in anyone's top 10 for R&B.....This is how the list should have looked like.....

10. Al Green
9. Curtis Mayfield
8. Prince
7. Michael Jackson
6. Marvin Gaye
5. Ray Charles
4. Stevie Wonder
3. Smokey Robinson
2. Aretha Franklin
1. James Brown

(U notice MJ and Prince are not in the top 5. And there's a reason for that. While their roots r R&B, they jumped into a lot more genres. And yeah Ray Charles jumped in a lot of genres too. But he is credited as one of the creators of R&B....So I don't have Mike and P taking RHYTHM AND BLUES spots from people like Ray, JB, Aretha and the like....The artists up top deserve their "R&B" billing more....)
