13026698, So... psuedo philosophical religious psycho babble? Gotcha

As *eye* said: doing “this” is always a “distraction” from “that”.

If you are busy with X, that’s time away from Y.

Here’s the problem with your list: you assume if that if people weren’t watching the news, they’d be doing and thinking everything you listed.

The other problem is this hilarious assumption that you “woke” types maintain:

That people are completely incapable of watching the news or a tv show or focus on a career and also think, say, and do all the things that you’re babbling about.

Hear you tell it, anyone who watches the news is magically rendered incapable of loving their neighbor.

Hear you tell it, anyone who watches the news is completely unaware that there are predators in suits and ties and sign the checks they cash to pay their bills.

Hear you tell it, everyone who watches the news thinks the poor, sick, and elderly are worthless.

It’s a ridiculously low IQ perspective. It’s philosophical bullshit that really doesn’t hold any real weight and can’t stand up to basic logical scrutiny.

But it makes guys like you feel better because you’re able to pretend that you’re somehow “in the know”. It gives you purpose where you had none and now you feel like a gatekeeper of knowledge and wisdom that can “educate” people. Guys like you feel like you’re Morpheus, like you’ve got the magic pill to “wake people up” to “what’s really going on”.

The truth is, you types are fucking nuts and you’re more manipulative and, likewise, highly suggestible than any faceless, nameless They/Them that you rant against or any of the so-called “sheeple” that you try to “awaken”.

Follow the threads in your list and it’s nothing but religious propaganda.

If they’re not watching the news, they’re working out. Or working. Or cooking dinner. Or reading a book. Or watching a movie. Or playing a video game.

Or. Or. Or.

Or.....anything other than the things YOU and your religion thinks they should be.

No matter what anyone is doing, religious folks can always find a way to call it a “distraction” from the so-called “things of god”.

It’s a bullshit catch-all that says nothing aside from “you’re focused on things that myself and others like me think you shouldn’t be”.

There’s very little more manipulative than that, up to and including the nightly news.
