I haven't done it, but it has been done to me, over religion for the most part. I try not to judge, and if we are friends, unless you do something that directly affects me, your opinions are yours and we are cool. The people that left my life, they did what they had to do...a couple times it hurt me, but *shrug*

offputting to them or was it just them not seeing eye to eye with you with regards to your faith in general?

it was on some "You're not a christian, you're now a heathen" type foolishness (at least that what I was told second hand, since they no longer speak to me). It's kind of retarded IMO, because we have mutual friends that have no religious affiliation, and of course the same people have no issue with Jewish people or Catholics. *shrug*.

oh yeah, I just stopped calling him. We will kick it about 3 or 4 times a year but for the most part its understood that I dont fuck with him like we used to back in the day

I had to be dragged out of Numbers (an afterhours joint) bc I pointed out that I'm better looking than this dude's boyfriend who heard me and wanted to fight. My ppl rushed me out instead when I basically said I was ready to throw down.

There were two hot issues on the ballot, one for legalization of medical marijuana, the other for legalization of gay marriage.

He basically bragged to everyone that he voted FOR the marijuana one and AGAINST the gay marriage one.

I'm not saying if you like one, you have to like both or if you don't like one, you can't like the other. It just smacked of a certain bro-ishness that I found very obnoxious. Like, HELL YEAH WEED LET'S GET STONED BUT FUCK YOU FAGGOTS!! was how he was acting. Not exactly in those terms, but not far off.

Dude was my ace in high school and a few years afterwards. Like, when I'd come back to school for the summer, we'd kick it like two or tree times a week. Then senior year in college, we'd been in contact less just for whatever reason. Then he pulled some bullshit over some trivial shit when I came back for winter break, and I pretty much cut dude off. It was kinda dumb on my part in retrospect, but we weren't in the same place mentally for a while.

and basically called all black people cursed. He declined an offer to catch the fade in church or outside of church. Needless to say this individual didn't was a quiet as a church mouse when we saw each other in church and wound up moving far, far, away later on.

You not about to troll me for two weeks talking about some white people ain't riot when OJ lost but now black people are going to riot if Zimmerman is found innocent and not get a response. All I did was express disappointment in him but that wasn't enough because he's "smart" and everyone else is "ignorant" in his mind. people taught us. By us, I mean THOSE people not ME as them northest Ohio streets raised me with a great common sense and values. Plus, dude was in Illinois at the time. He could test out all of his racial profiling theories but he didn't want to do that for some strange reason...

Then I found out he'd been abusing her sister (his child's mother) for a while.
They pressed charges. He was facing jail time. I went to court on his court date out of solidarity and his ex told me her side of the story. Trial got delayed. We spoke shortly after that and he showed little remorse. Claimed they were fighting him spiritually.

Couldn't look at him the same again. We haven't spoken in years.
